I am an artist looking for poets to compose poems about my works or similar experiences of such places for an upcoming show in October 2019 in Jaffrey NH.   My work will be divided into three sections: 1) birth, nursing and “childscapes” from the mother’s point of view; 2) points of view when living in the Monadnock Region of southern NH; 3) travels abroad to China, Japan, Guatemala, France, Italy, Spain, England and elsewhere.   I am hoping that poets may be inspired by the works themselves or by the poet’s own understanding of “place” or experiences thereof.  I have begun including Asian calligraphy in my later works, and perhaps I can be inspired by a poem by one or more of the poets to create new pieces for the show.  You can see larger images of the works at my website:  http://susanwadsworthworksonpaper.com/ However, since all my works are not framed, please write me at the email address below for the list of framed works that could be in the show and thus would be best to be written about.   This list is also available as an attachment below. Poems will be juried and each selected poet will receive a small honorarium, and the juried poems will be included with the paintings in a catalog.

Deadlines: April 15 for 2-3 poems to be submitted to susan.wadsworth@gmail.com.  By May 10: jurying of poems is completed.  Exhibition opening:  Friday Oct. 18, 5:30-7:30 at the Jaffrey Civic Center, Jaffrey NH, second floor.  There will be a reading of the selected poems for the first part of the opening, so please come.  Show ends Nov. 15, 2019.
