China

After studying with the Japan Studies Institute, I applied for a professors’ trip to China in 2017 through the China Studies Institute. We traveled to Shanghai, Beijing and X’ian (where the tomb with 8000 life-sized soldiers is located). In 2019, I taught in Shanghai for five weeks and traveled to Yancheng to meet Chinese poets.
